With the EC 122 interface module, SIGMATEK is extending its portfolio in the field of high-performance system connections and optimizing the integration of S-DIAS modules into EtherCAT networks.

The module allows simple and efficient integration of S-DIAS modules – both standard and safety I/Os – into an EtherCAT bus system. Equipped with one EtherCAT input and one EtherCAT output , the compact interface module not only handles the complete EtherCAT slave configuration, but also the data exchange between EtherCAT and the S-DIAS system bus.

The EC 122 comes with an integrated power supply for up to 32 modules and automatically detects connected S-DIAS I/O modules. Compared to the EC 121, the new interface module offers a significant performance increase: With its multiple amount of process data, the EC 122 is ideal for demanding applications – including Safety over EtherCAT (FSoE). This allows EtherCAT SubDevices to be integrated into a safe application as FSoE slaves. With the Power Boost Module (PSB 001), an additional 32 modules can be addressed.

Machine and system manufacturers thus benefit from even greater flexibility and performance within the proven S-DIAS system.
