With the new Varioface Migration Solution, Phoenix Contact presents a completely pluggable solution for efficiently upgrading to the ET 200SP HA controller. Integration is seamless and does not require any modifications to the control cabinet or changes to the existing field wiring.

This reduces wiring errors, cuts down on the number of loop checks, and minimizes downtime. Users benefit from the economical and reliable modernization of their systems. The Varioface Migration Solution includes migration modules specifically tailored to the I/O cards, preassembled cable sets, and a mounting rack that provides a second installation level in front of the cable ducts. This makes it possible to replace the ET 200M/S7-300 with the taller ET 200SP HA without any further adjustments. An ingenious pull-out and tilting mechanism simplifies the installation of the migration modules in the rear level and makes servicing easier. For simple and secure 1:1 signal forwarding, the front connectors are plugged directly onto the corresponding migration modules using the existing field wiring. Specific cable sets route the signals to the ET 200SP HA. The plug-and-play principle significantly reduces process downtime and allows the system to be recommissioned quickly.

The portfolio for the Varioface Migration Solution supports analog and digital I/O cards with 20-pos. or 40-pos. ET 200M/S7-300 front connectors in versions for 24 V and 120 V/230 V. The halogen-free cable sets offer connection options via D-SUB connectors or Push-in Technology. For applications with existing Varioface system cabling, the upgrade process is just as easy: Only the system cables need to be replaced in this case. The field wiring and other components remain unchanged, which reduces process interruptions and simplifies planning.

Phoenix Contact also provides completely pluggable system cabling solutions for new installations. The combination of front adapters, system cables, and termination boards enables fast, clear, and error-free wiring with time savings of up to 90 percent compared to single-core wiring.
