Fanless Embedded Box PC for use in Industrial Automation
Industrial Embedded PC from WEROCK offers powerful new controller for continuous operation in production and automation. Fanless Rocksmart RSX1000 is specifically designed for machine builders, plant engineers, and control cabinet manufacturers.
WEROCK Technologies has expanded its portfolio of industrial computer systems by introducing the Rocksmart RSX1000, a fanless embedded box PC for use in industry, automation, mechanical engineering, and control cabinet construction.
When industrial PCs fail, it is often not just individual workstations that are affected. Production lines, intralogistics systems, driverless transport systems, test benches, or plant control systems can come to a standstill. The Rocksmart RSX1000 was designed for continuous operation in precisely such environments. The passive, fanless 24/7 design reduces dust-related failures and mechanical wear. Its design for vibration- and dust-prone environments further supports its use in production halls, machine environments, and vehicles.
Voltage fluctuations in industrial power grids pose another challenge. The embedded box PC is optionally available with a wide-range input of 9–60 V DC and a boot-on-power function. This makes the system suitable for use in machines, mobile applications, c ommercial vehicles, industrial trucks, and decentralized installations.
In terms of interfaces, the system offers “industrial I/O out of the box.” Among other things, dual LAN, multiple USB interfaces, serial interfaces (RS232/422/485), and optional CAN and Wi-Fi 6 are available. Additional connections and extensions can be configured on a project-specific basis. This allows the embedded computer to be adapted to requirements in automation, the process industry , or building automation.
Equipped with 13th generation Intel® Core™ processors, up to 64 GB of RAM, and up to 2 TB of mass storage, the system is suitable for computationally intensive applications such as machine and plant control, edge computing, image processing, AI evaluations, SCADA and HMI systems, condition monitoring, and the connection of IT and OT networks. The integrated graphics support up to three displays and are designed for control stations, operator panels, and visualization systems in control cabinets or on machines.
The expansion of the embedded box PC portfolio will be presented on the f irst day of the embedded world 2026 trade fair. Trade visitors f rom industry, IT, and automation can f ind out about possible applications in mechanical engineering, plant engineering, and control cabinet integration on site.
Markus Nicoleit, Managing Director of WEROCK, explains the market launch of the Rocksmart RSX1000: “With the Rocksmart RSX1000, we offer an embedded box PC that is designed for stable continuous operation in industrial environments. The fanless design, f lexible power supply, and versatile interfaces enable use in machines, vehicles, and systems, as well as in industrial IT integration.”
