Optimized intralogistics and AI-based process management are the main focal points for Beckhoff at LogiMAT 2026. From March 24 to 26, Beckhoff will present its future-proof technologies for open and flexible control of the flow of goods at the exhibition in Stuttgart. The control cabinet-free MX-System, for example, offers huge potential for making savings during installation and commissioning, while the TwinCAT 3 CoAgent AI assistant cuts down on engineering work in the warehouse environment and achieves a sustainable reduction in downtime.

The logistics industry is faced with the challenge of increasing throughput rates while simultaneously increasing system flexibility. To master this balancing act, Beckhoff is combining the advantages of PC-based control with artificial intelligence and decentralized automation. The aim is end-to-end networking – from interlinked production systems to order picking and dispatch.

Breaking free from the control cabinet boosts efficiency

The MX-System, a pluggable system solution for decentralized automation that can completely replace conventional control cabinets, will take center stage at the booth. This system cuts down on cable lengths, the space required, and installation and maintenance work all at once. Smart diagnostics via Bluetooth® ensure fast fault detection, reducing critical downtimes in busy distribution centers.

AI-supported productivity

TwinCAT 3 CoAgent is an AI assistant that revolutionizes the entire automation lifecycle. Developers working in engineering benefit from language-based code suggestions for PLCs, HMIs, and I/O configurations, significantly reducing project planning time. During operation, the tool increases transparency through data analysis or AI-supported fault diagnostics, including automatically generated repair instructions.

Cost-optimized drive technology

Beckhoff will also present its economy drive system for dynamic, precise motion sequences in conveyor technology and handling. It focuses on cost-optimized applications without compromising on performance and quality. The AX1000 servo drives and AF1000 variable frequency drives are compact and highly cost-efficient. They are available as single or dual-axis variants. The new AM1000 servomotors were developed as a specific counterpart for the AX1000 and cover a power range of up to 1,000 W (at 230 V) or 1,700 W (at 400 V).
